ARE YOU PUTTING OFF HAPPINESS? CHANGING YOUR LIFE WITH WORDS - DAY 137

Sometimes we put off more things than we should.  We think the time is not right.  We think we cannot afford it.  We worry about what others will think or say.  We think the current status of our life, career, family or business is not yet where or what we want it to be.  We think we have not yet achieved enough success or made enough progress.  Well, truth be told we should not wait to acknowledge and appreciate where we are in the present moment.

We should not wait too long.  There may not be a better time.  We should step out in faith and

CELEBRATE NOW!

HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR PROGRESS? - CHANGING YOUR LIFE WITH WORDS - DAY 78

Some people are very hard on themselves.  They think they have made no progress unless they move toward their goals by leaps and bounds.  Hopefully, you are kinder to yourself and realize that forward motion is progress even if you are not running, leaping, or bounding toward your ultimate goal.  If you are moving step by step toward your goal, you are making progress.  The old cliche is true..........slow and steady wins the race.

Today's message is:

STEP BY STEP!

WHEN DID YOU LAST HAVE FUN? CHANGING YOUR LIFE WITH WORDS - DAY 71

Are you caught up in a daily grind?  Working too many hours?  Feeling tired?  Feeling bored?  Feeling frustration over your progress or lack thereof?  What have you done for yourself recently?  Have you given yourself a break from the daily routine?  Have you spent time with your family or friends?  Have you spent any time with a child?  Children are so joyful and able to live in the moment; if you want to feel younger and more relaxed then spend an afternoon with your children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren or godchildren.  You will be refreshed and all the laughter will do you worlds of good.   Go to the beach, the lake, the park, or even just on your patio or balcony and enjoy good food and good times.

Today's message is:

HAVE A PICNIC!

IS ANYTHING HOLDING YOU BACK? CHANGING YOUR LIFE WITH WORDS - DAY 52

Do you feel as if you are stuck in a rut?  Do you believe something or someone is preventing you from achieving your full potential?  Do you think you are unworthy of success?  Do you have confidence in yourself and your abilities?  Are you clear on what you want to do, where you want to go, and who you want to be?

If you are progressing too slowly or too timidly, what are the things you can control?  Don't fret over things you cannot control, but be bold and change the things you can.  Then instead of taking baby steps or no steps at all toward your dreams you can fly like an eagle.

IF NOT YOU, WHO? CHANGING YOUR LIFE WITH WORDS - DAY 36

What is your hope?  What is your dream?  What is your goal?  What is your passion?  What is your need?

Don't sit around waiting for someone else to fulfill your hopes and dreams, to achieve your goals, to fuel your passion or meet your needs.  Even if you just take the first step that is progress, and then a second step, and then a third, etc.  Have confidence in yourself, and believe you can do it.

Today's message is:

Make it happen!

HAVE YOU KEPT YOUR RESOLUTIONS? CHANGING YOUR LIFE WITH WORDS - DAY 26

Are you a person who on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day creates a list of resolutions that you want, wish or hope to accomplish in the coming year?  As June draws to a close the year will be half-finished.  Are you halfway to completing your resolutions?  I'm not.

I am a compulsive list maker.  At my age I have written lists too numerous to mention.  Resolutions are things I make each year but rarely keep.  It finally occurred to me that I make more resolutions that I think I ought to make rather than resolutions I really want to make and keep.  In retrospect I realize that the only resolutions I keep are the ones truly important to me.

It isn't necessary to wait for the end of a year or the beginning of a new year to resolve to make changes in your life.  That is why I decided to begin this blog because we all can indeed change our lives by changing the words we speak which can change the thoughts we think which can change the things we do or do not do.  I hope you will join me this year by following this blog and adding your comments to share your progress, your frustrations, your ideas, your successes, and to inspire others and allow others to inspire you.

Today's message is:

This is the year!
